Grant Segal Grant Segal, Program Director

Grant has been in the sport of diving for over 20 years. He grew up diving in the ADA program where he won two County High School diving titles (1987 & 1988). He then went on to compete at the college level at Florida State University. Grant is a Senior Partner in a financial advisory firm that specializes in wealth accumulation and preservation for individuals and 401k and pension plans for businesses. He lives in Cumming with his wife, Cindy and two kids Makenna and Griffin.

 
Amanda Miller, Head Coach

Amanda’s diving career began at age fifteen in Northern Virginia, when she switched from competitive gymnastics to diving due to an injury. She was a level 10 gymnast for four years before making the transition to diving. Amanda was recruited to Purdue University where she earned a Bachelor degree in Business with a Marketing minor. While at Purdue, Amanda was a five time All American, an Academic All American and was voted as Purdue University’s Athlete of the Year. She was selected to USA Diving’s National Team for four years. Throughout that time she became a USA Diving National Champion, and Olympic Trials finalist. Amanda earned silver medals at international meets including World University Games, and three Grand Prix events. Prior to joining Atlanta Diving as the Head Coach in 2013, she was the Assistant Diving Coach at Florida State University, while earning her Masters Degree in Sports Management.

 
John Ames John Ames, Head JO Coach

John comes from George Washington University and the Montgomery Dive Club, one of the largest diving programs in the nation. With Montgomery, Ames served as the team's associate head coach. He coached multiple Junior and Senior National qualifiers, as well as a number of Junior World Championship qualifiers. In his six season at George Washington, he guided the Colonials to numerous upper-tier Atlantic 10 Conference finishes, with both the men's and women's teams finishing as high as second. He also coached several NCAA Zone Diving Championships qualifiers. Prior to his stint with Montomery and George Washington, Ames served as an assistant coach with the Northern Virginia Dive Club. He also worked as a graduate assistant and diving coach at Western Illinois University. Ames graduated from Ohio University in 1993 with a bachelor's degree in psychology after completing his collegiate diving career with the Bobcats. He earned a Master of Science degree in sport administration while at Western Illinois.

 
Crawford Berry, Assistant Coach

Crawford began diving with ADA at age 15. He had a successful high school diving career at Alpharetta High School with 3 top 5 finishes at the state championships. After being recruited at the state championships his senior year to dive in college, he committed to dive for Darton State College, a junior college in Albany, Georgia. There he went on to win four national titles at the NJCAA National Championships in 2013 and 2014. He also was the recipient of the NJCAA Male Athlete of The Year in 2014. As a result of his successful freshmen and sophomore seasons at Darton, he was then recruited to dive for the University of Georgia. After accepting academic and athletic scholarships from UGA, he transferred from Darton and went on to have two successful seasons as one of the top divers on the team. After graduating in 2016, Crawford has moved back to Atlanta to coach for ADA and pursue additional career goals. Crawford has years of experience coaching all ages and skill levels. In the past, he has coached for the Georgia Dive Club in Athens, GA and was also head coach of the Windward Lake Club throughout three summer seasons. Crawford has been coaching with ADA since January 2017.

 
Tim Hallisey Tim Hallisey, Assistant Coach

Tim comes from the Alabama Junior program, where he won numerous county titles, high school titles and finished in the top 5 several times in the High School State Championship. He finished his competitive diving career when he attended the University of Alabama. Tim also coaches Marist High School , Marist Middle School, St. Pius High School and Wynterhall Summer league teams. Tim has been coaching for over 20 years and been with Atlanta Diving since 1994.

 
Jacque Harden, Assistant Coach

Jacque started diving with Coach Grant at five years old and grew up diving in the ADA program. She competed in high school for Chattahoochee High School and graduated from Georgia Southern University with a degree in Business Administration and Marketing. She also holds a Masters Degree in Teaching and Instructional Technology from Georgia Southern. Jacque is a middle school Marketing Teacher at Lakeside Middle School in Cumming, GA. She stays busy with her husband Arnold and two children, Rylee and Cooper. When she is not teaching or coaching she enjoys playing tennis, travelling, and being with her family.

 
Stevie Vines, Assistant Coach

Stevie began diving at age 13, and is an ADA graduate. He had a successful high school career, winning 3 state titles for The Westminster Schools, and still holds the 6 and 11 dive school records. He continued to be a top performer at Princeton University, winning 2 Ivy League titles, earning Academic All-Ivy, setting multiple school records in the 1 Meter and 3 Meter events, and was named the Ivy League Career High Point Diver for the Class of 2013. Stevie returned to Atlanta after graduating and has been coaching with ADA since June 2013. Many of his divers have achieved top 3 finishes at the Georgia High School State meet, and have been recruited to dive in college. Stevie is married to fellow ADA and Princeton alum Katelyn Vines (Perry), and he works for a software startup in Buckhead.
